All Friends and family are welcome to the group nights.

If you are unsure where to go please contact Alan Griffin who will be more than happy to offer directions and will arrange for someone to meet you outside the venue and show you to the meeting room.

Wednesday the 12th of October: Observers Night 20:00 Observers only

To be held at Police HQ Enderby at 20.00 topics covered will be coaching people with special needs and young drivers.

Wednesday the 19th of October: Group Night 20:00 All welcome

Pat Doughty the IAM's Operations Director will be talking about the proposals for the IAM. We have invited IAM groups from the Midlands to this event.

Wednesday the 16th of November: Quiz Night Fred Palmer & Ted Parton 20:00 all welcome.

Come and try your skills at our annual quiz! Teams will be arranged on the night!

Wednesday 21st of December: Christmas Special – A talk on "Vulcan to the Sky". 08:00 all welcome.

This will be our annual Christmas meeting, with a buffet afterwards!

Wednesday 16th of January: AGM 20:00

A Skill For Life

Almost everyone thinks that they are a good car driver or a skilled motorbike rider. Whilst everybody has to take the DSA test, thereafter the novice driver/rider is plunged onto Britain’s (and the rest of the world’s) overcrowded roads with no further legal requirement of further driver training.

Observers Page

When you join the Group, you will be allocated an observer to help you prepare for the test. 

These are members of the public, like yourself, who originally took the advanced driving test.  Having decided that they would like to help others, they then received extra training to be able to offer guidance, rather than instruction.  Many hold full-time jobs, and a few will also hold instructor qualifications.

Coaching for the Test

We can help you to pass the Advanced Driving Test by showing you what is expected of you on the test. Our observers will show you which aspects of your driving need to be honed in order to reach test standard. You can then be confident that when you take your test you will pass.
